The Telegraph is an award-winning multimedia news brand that provides up-to-date news, commentary, and analysis on a wide range of topics, including politics, business, sports, and entertainment, as well as lifestyle and travel content. It is one of the most popular news websites in the United Kingdom.
This testimonial was given by Fikret Hassan, Senior Advertising Tech manager at The Telegraph.
At Telegraph, they needed to implement and test new changes constantly. However, the live environment is vastly different from the staging environment. This discrepancy made it incredibly difficult to test out changes during the staging phase accurately.
They were looking for a way to swap JavaScript libraries seamlessly and see how the changes would look and function on the live website. They tried a few tools, but none were smooth or intuitive enough for their needs. Moreover, these tools proved to be quite challenging for non-technical stakeholders to navigate.
Furthermore, collaboration was a big challenge. It was crucial to share and test changes across various teams quickly and efficiently.
With Requestly's Redirect Rule, the Telegraph team could easily swap JS libraries and test their changes directly on the live website. This feature gave the team an exact replica of their live environment for testing purposes.
Moreover, Requestly greatly enhanced their team collaboration. With the use of Requestly's Team Workspace, different teams could collaborate more quickly and efficiently. The ability to switch between workspaces seamlessly and keep private workspaces separate from shared ones made managing projects much more convenient.
Although there were many tools available, Requestly stood out due to its simplicity and ease of use. Even non-technical stakeholders could use Requestly efficiently. They just needed to be added to the workspace, where the rules were enabled by default. This functionality meant that these stakeholders could directly witness the changes on the live website without the need for complex technical knowledge or instructions.

Using the Requestly session record feature, I just ask the user to record the session and share with me. And I can replicate the same issue on MY SYSTEM and start debugging. Gone are the days of struggling to figure things out on someone else's system or during a Google Meet session.
